Q:What does your resonator do?
A:Your resonator is a factory installed device that makes your intake quieter.
Q:Why remove your resonator?
A:Some people prefer thier cars to sound louder, removing this would amplify some of the intake sound. Others would rather not have the added weight of a device that serves no real purpose in thier car

| 1. Remove the screws on your wheel well to get access to lower front area. also i dont have one but your car might still have the triangle cover plate on the bottom. unscrew this also. |
 |
| 2. Theres bascially two screws to unscrew for this job. This is a good time to take out your airbox (refer back to the articles page). Unscrew the first nut on the bottom of your car. It should be connected to a mount on your tow hooks. The the tricky part is to pull the wheel well plastic back a little and look horizontally across towards the engine. there should be a nut. Use a 10mm socket and a long extension or a couple short ones, and unscrew this. then just pull the rubber pieace off.(marked in pic as "comes right off"). |
 |
| 3. Pull the resomator from the Y hard plastic tube. its done. If you removed the airbox previous to this you can also remove the Y-pipe optionally. just pull it out. another thing is to connect the botton of the Y-pipe to your fog light hole woth a tube to simulate "Ram-Air" situation if you still have the airbox on or if you have a "ram-air"capable air filter. |
 |
| 4. the tube in hole 1 is nothing, just pull it out, this is another piece that helps muffle the intake sound with the resonator. you should be able to just pull it out. |

Please note this is just a baseline guide, you should in no way attempt you modify your car if you do not know any baseline electronics or use of electrical materials such as a soldering gun, electrical tape, wires, or tools. all information should not be assumed to be 100% perfectly correct.
